Seefar is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Operations to oversee and enhance its core systems, compliance, and talent management functions on a part-time basis. With a remote-first structure and an ambitious automation agenda, this role is ideal for a systems thinker passionate about creating order and driving efficiency across global social impact initiatives.

Seefar is a mission-driven social enterprise focused on improving the lives of vulnerable people around the world. It designs and delivers programs grounded in behavioral science and technology to address issues like irregular migration, human trafficking, extremism, poverty, and access to justice.
In 2025, Seefar’s Operations Department will manage over €4 million in annual expenditure, ensure compliance with complex donor frameworks, and lead efforts to automate core business processes. Despite its growing portfolio, Seefar retains a startup mindset—agile, impact-focused, and experimental.
Key Responsibilities
Core Processes (30%)
The Head of Operations will maintain and refine Seefar’s management systems, ensuring accuracy in payroll, forecasting, and cash flow. They will streamline and automate these systems where possible, proactively plan for resource needs, and maintain the enterprise risk matrix.
Project and Entity Compliance (30%)
Working closely with finance and HR personnel, the Head of Operations will ensure accurate procurement and reporting, manage relationships with donors and auditors, and anticipate potential risks and compliance issues. They will also identify opportunities to automate reporting and compliance processes.
Strategic Leadership (20%)
This role contributes to high-level organizational strategy, focusing on optimizing efficiency, maximizing income, and mitigating financial risks. The Head of Operations will support board governance, audit processes, and help develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance consistency and compliance.
Team Management (20%)
The individual will directly supervise and mentor the Finance and HR Officers, providing both technical guidance and pastoral support. Additionally, they will work to attract, develop, and retain top talent across the organization and lead engagement initiatives that support a high-performing team culture.

Essential Competencies
- Fluency in English (written and spoken): Able to lead meetings, write reports, and engage external stakeholders with clarity and nuance.
- Digital Fluency: Comfortable using tools like Google Suite and Wrike, with enthusiasm for automation and new technology.
- Compliance Understanding: Knowledgeable about donor rules and contract terms in the international development sector.
- System Thinking: Experienced in creating workflows and SMART goals that support delegation and scalability.
- People Management: Skilled at guiding others, providing constructive feedback, and handling sensitive conversations with integrity.
- Emotional Resilience: Able to maintain perspective and respond constructively to feedback and pressure.
